According to Olga Moseeva, chairperson of the Omsk Regional Branch of the Russian Children«s Fund, the competition brings together people and companies for whom helping others has become a conscious and sustainable practice.
«Every final of the »Charity of the Year« competition is a real New Year»s miracle, a holiday of kindness, mercy, and high spirituality. Perhaps only once a year can we see so many wonderful people with big hearts in one place,« said Olga Moseeva.
One of the winners is the Omsk Oil Refinery. It received a diploma for its social work.
«Such initiatives have already become a good tradition among the employees of the Omsk Oil Refinery,» said Oleg Belyavsky, general director of the enterprise. «Every year, our volunteers provide support to those who need care the most. These are children from low-income families or those who have found themselves in difficult life situations. It is the personal involvement of our employees that makes the help truly significant and systematic.»
The enterprise implements the «Native Cities» social investment program of the company Gazprom Neft.
«The participation of the competition»s winners in various charitable initiatives inspires other organizations to adopt a more active social stance and helps strengthen trust and cohesion in our society,« noted Irina Varnavskaya, Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Omsk Region.
In total, the competition organizers awarded 15 charities. In selecting the winners, the competition jury evaluated not one-time actions, but the systematic work of participants — a sustainable model of social activity that has contributed to solving the region«s social issues over several years.
