Market sources report the closure of the second and last store of the Pukovsky Supermarket chain in St. Petersburg. The outlet on Pulkovskoye Highway is expected to cease operations in the second half of February.

Earlier, in December 2025, the chain already closed its store on Krestovsky Island (Vyazovaya Street). Thus, after the closure of the outlet on Pulkovskoye Highway, the Pukovsky Supermarket chain will completely exit the city«s market.

Independent food promotion consultant Mikhail Lachugin recalled that Pukovsky is a player with a vast history, having opened in the Moskovsky District in 1980. The store survived many crises: the collapse of the USSR, the 1990s, the demand surge of the 2000s, retail transformation, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the very difficult year 2022.

Mikhail Lachugin noted:

I am not surprised by the news that the remaining store is now closing. Since Pukovsky, positioning itself as the most expensive store in the city, has significantly reduced its service level recently,
He also suggested that the problems might be related to unsuccessful business scaling:
Expansion is not always successful; some stores are better off remaining, so to speak, as a single entity and preserving their specificity.

According to the real estate agency KNRU, Pukovsky Supermarket is currently reformatting its business and considering entering the bakery market.

According to the SPARK system information, the owner of Pukovsky Supermarket LLC is Vladislav Petrenko. The company«s revenue for 2024 was 595 million rubles (approximately $6.0 million at current rates), with a net profit of 6 million rubles (approximately $60,000 at current rates).
