Marina Kireeva and Alexey Yeryomin, deputy heads of the Dubovsky District administration suspected of fraud with school property, have been released from custody. Investigative authorities filed a petition with the court to ease the preventive measure.
Recall that in January 2024, anonymous Telegram channels reported on inspections in the Dubovsky District administration.
According to these publications, officials, including education department head Marina Kireeva, for several years compelled directors of rural schools to purchase equipment, furniture, and household items.
The acquired property, it was claimed, ended up not in classrooms but in the offices of the district administration.
This involved schools in the villages of Malaya Ivanovka, Davydovka, Pryamaya Balka, Gornovodyanoye, and the stanitsa of Suvodskoy.
On May 27, 2025, law enforcement agencies officially confirmed the detention of the officials and initiated a criminal case under Article 286, Part 3 of the Russian Criminal Code – abuse of official powers through preliminary conspiracy for selfish or other personal interest.
Initially, Marina Kireeva was placed under house arrest, and Alexey Yeryomin – in a pre-trial detention center.
On December 24, 2024, the Gorodishchensky District Court granted the investigation«s petition and changed the preventive measure for both suspects.
As reported by Alexander Tyumentsev, deputy head of the united press service of the courts of the Volgograd Region, «At the petition of the deputy head of the Gorodishchensky Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the Volgograd Region, the preventive measure for Alexey Yeryomin, detention, was changed to a ban on certain actions. He was released from custody in the courtroom. For Marina Kireeva, the preventive measure was also changed from house arrest to a ban on certain actions.»
The ban on certain actions implies the following restrictions:
- sending and receiving postal items is prohibited;
- using means of communication and the internet is forbidden, except for contact with the investigator;
- communication with other participants in the criminal proceedings is not allowed, with the exception of the investigator, prosecutor, court employees, and defense attorney.
Earlier, information appeared that Marina Kireeva was repeatedly seen on the city streets, which gave rise to assumptions about her possible imminent return to official duties.
The criminal case remains under investigation, as reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Volgograd Region.
