The mayor«s office of Chita has not received any complaints about the cube slide installed in the renovated MZhK park, which, as it turns out, has not yet been transferred to the city treasury. This was reported on January 27 in a response to an inquiry by Deputy Mayor and Chairman of the Urban Development Policy Committee Alexander Zudilov.

It was previously reported that Chita resident Svetlana Khokhlova, whose daughter suffered a spinal fracture while using the slide in MZhK park, is looking for other victims to file a lawsuit. At the clinic, hospital, and school, she was told about other injured children. In response to the woman«s appeal, the deputy prosecutor of the Central District noted that the playground equipment complies with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union »On the Safety of Playground Equipment« and has a certificate of compliance. According to the agency, protective elements are not specified in the structure»s technical passport.

«No complaints from citizens have been received by the administration of the Chita city district regarding the Lago series children»s play complex (article: LA-02.04). Additionally, we are sending the certificate and passport for the specified children«s play complex, which confirm its compliance with established standards and GOST requirements,» Zudilov reported, attaching the certificate to the response.

He reminded that the improvement of MZhK Square was carried out under the «Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment» program. Currently, the site has not been transferred to the city treasury, and the persons responsible for its maintenance and servicing, including small architectural forms, have not been determined. They plan to transfer the park for maintenance to the municipal budgetary institution «Blagoustroistvo-Chita» (Chita Beautification).

The contract for the improvement of MZhK Square was awarded to the Chita company ARM-1: it was the only one to apply for participation in the electronic auction. For the work, the contractor was to receive 98.8 million rubles (about $1.1 million at current rates). The park«s concept can be viewed here. The park project included four sports grounds, a dog walking area, a park stage, a monument, play complexes, illuminated entrance groups, and a public toilet. What the park looks like in reality is shown in a Chita.Ru photo report.

ARM-1 appears as a third party in the lawsuit for the dismissal of Chita Deputy Mayor Alexander Zudilov from the mayor«s office due to loss of trust. This lawsuit was filed in the Central District Court of Chita. It has already been considered and partially satisfied on December 1, 2025. The company also improved the Collective Labor park, and a criminal case was initiated in 2025 due to violations in the work.
