Nine Drones Downed Over Volgograd Region

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 21 Ukrainian drones were shot down across several regions on the morning of 4 February, with nine intercepted over the Volgograd region and nine over the Belgorod region.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the number of drones destroyed from 08:00 to 14:00 on 4 February over the Volgograd region. Of the 21 Ukrainian drones shot down, nine were neutralized over Volgograd and the region.

According to the ministry«s Telegram channel, a mass drone attack was carried out today, 4 February, during the first half of the day.

— From 08:00 to 14:00 Moscow time, air defense forces on duty intercepted and destroyed 21 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, — the military ministry«s Telegram channel said. — Nine — over the Belgorod region, nine — over the Volgograd region, two — over the Rostov region, one — over the Kursk region.

As a reminder, a drone threat was declared in the region overnight and again early in the morning of 4 February. Restrictions on aircraft takeoffs and landings were imposed at Gumrak Airport.

The governor of the Volgograd region, Andrei Bocharov, commented on the aftermath of the attack by Ukrainian drones: an attack on industrial infrastructure in the south of the city was repelled, with no casualties or damage to industrial or civilian facilities.
