New Year Decorations Dismantled on Lenin Square in Voronezh

The main city Christmas tree and New Year decorations began to be dismantled on Lenin Square in Voronezh on January 20. This was reported by the city administration.
All decorations are planned to be removed by February 1. During the work, access to Lenin Square will be closed. Currently, workers are removing light decorations from garlands, including the tent near the tree. Then, the tree itself and art objects will be dismantled. Live fir trees, which were used to decorate the square, will be sent for recycling.
During the New Year holidays, Lenin Square, which began operating on December 25, was visited by more than 180 thousand people — residents and guests of Voronezh, the city hall said. Last year, exactly the same number of visitors was reported. Recall that this year, holiday festivities in the city center were repeatedly interrupted by evacuations due to sirens being activated.
Meanwhile, the skating rink on Admiralteyskaya Square continues to operate — it is planned to be closed only in March, if the weather permits. The schedule for skating on weekdays and weekends can be found here.
