New Public Zone Coming to Nizhny Novgorod's Main Fair Building

A new public zone will appear in the Main Fair Building of Nizhny Novgorod, located on Sovnarkomovskaya Street. It will occupy part of the Passage on the first floor, the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair reported.
Currently, the building, which is a cultural heritage site, is undergoing renovations. After their completion in 2026, it is planned to open a public space with cafes, souvenir shops, and an exhibition area. At present, the building can only be accessed as part of organized events.
Free movement of visitors around the congress center is not provided. This is due to security measures, as large-scale events are regularly held on the fair grounds.
From January 31 to February 8, 2026, the ninth multicultural exhibition «Art Mir» will be held at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. It will be dedicated to introducing the cultural heritage of various countries, the diversity of traditions, languages, and arts.
