New Building on Strelka Between Church and Hotel
The planned visitor center is designed as a modular structure to be built on the Strelka embankment.
A visitor center is planned to be built near the cable-stayed bridge for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, the mayor«s office press service reported.
The Strelka waterfront will be fully developed with a church downstream and a hotel upstream from the visitor center site.
On January 27, a tender was announced to find a developer for the project center for five million rubles (approximately $50,000 at current rates). The preliminary concept was previously developed by the municipal Krasnoyarsk Tourist and Information Center.
“The contractor will need to provide a guest zone for meeting and consulting tourists with an interactive map of Krasnoyarsk, a photo zone, and rentals. Based at the visitor center, areas for young travelers, spaces for workshops and lectures, as well as a library are planned,” described the concept in the mayor«s office.
The building area will be over 300 square meters. Judging by the purchase name, it will be a modular structure. The results of the tender are planned to be announced on February 24. Documentation must be developed within three months from the contract signing.
A municipal plot near the cable-stayed bridge was chosen for the visitor center. Its cadastral number is 24:50:0300286:62, area — 8,433 square meters. Nearby, they plan to build a church, for which the area was fenced off in the summer. And on plots across the Kacha River, preparations are underway to construct a five-star hotel and a ‘cultural and wellness complex’. All facilities should be ready for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk in 2028.
