New Base Stations Enhance Connectivity in Egorievsk's Russian Manchester

Egorievsk is one of those places in the Moscow region where Muscovites increasingly go for a day trip: to stroll through the city with its merchant history, see the industrial architecture of red brick, and visit the territory of the famous Khludov manufactory. Now it has become easier to stay online: new communication infrastructure has appeared in the settlement and its surroundings.
In Egorievsk itself, where over 111,000 people live, a more stable connection has been recorded. Changes could be noticed, including on the territory of the Khludov manufactory. It was its massive brick buildings, English equipment, and industrial silhouette in the 19th century that led to the comparison of Egorievsk with British Manchester — hence the nickname «Russian Manchester».
Moreover, the updates also affected the nearest villages and settlements. Telecom equipment was built in Akatovo and Inshakovo — some of the oldest villages in the district and the entire Moscow region, as well as in the settlement of Novy, and the villages of Leskovo, Vasilyovo, Selivanikha, and Kostylevo.
«We have updated the network in the city and nearby settlements so that mobile internet works stably even under high load, both on the streets and inside residential buildings,» emphasized Timur Fakhrutdinov, Director of Infrastructure Project Implementation at Megafon in the Moscow region.
He also noted that the company continues to develop telecom infrastructure so that internet is available in any part of the Moscow region, including areas remote from the Central Ring Road. To improve connection quality and stabilize network operation, the operator«s engineers utilized high- and mid-frequency ranges, as well as MIMO technology, which allows data transmission over multiple channels simultaneously.
