Starting March 1, anti-alcohol restrictions will come into effect in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the government press service reminded.

Stores in apartment buildings and adjacent areas, as well as establishments on the first floors, will only be able to sell alcohol from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

On certain days, June 1 and September 1, alcohol will not be available for purchase in all stores in the territory. This initiative was presented by Governor Mikhail Kotyukov at the end of April. The new restrictions are intended to reduce alcohol consumption in the territory.

The restrictions will not apply to duty-free shops or food service establishments. However, the latter will now be able to sell alcoholic beverages on summer terraces only after obtaining a special permit from the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Earlier, NGS24.RU reported that lawmakers considered the damage that businesses would incur from the introduction of such restrictions to be «expedient».

According to the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation (Rosalkogolregulirovanie), 642,000 decaliters of alcohol (excluding beer) were sold in the territory in the fourth quarter of 2025. A year earlier, the figure was slightly higher — 646,800 decaliters. In the fourth quarter of 2021 — 612,000.
