In Murmansk, the «Hello, Sun!» festival will be held on 1 February. The festivities had previously been postponed due to a regional blackout.
The festival was first celebrated in January 1969 and has since become a cherished city tradition, symbolizing the return of light after the polar night.
Residents are invited on 1 February for celebrations running from 13:00 to 15:00 MSK in Central Park on Pushkinskaya Street, opposite the Palace of Culture named after S.M. Kirov.
Guests can expect a packed program: a concert and disco, performances by fakirs and puppeteers, creative workshops, and photo zones. Eight different locations will be in operation, with a special focus on entertainment for children—the festival«s most sincere participants.
