Murmansk CHP: Southern Boiler House Repairs Complete

Repairs on equipment at AO Murmanskaya TETS (Murmansk Combined Heat and Power Plant – CHP)«s Southern Boiler House have been completed and the defect fixed, the company reported.

— The water-heating boilers are operating. Coolant parameters correspond to the set mode, — the CHP said.

Management companies are to adjust in-building systems — if radiators in homes are still cold, residents should contact them.

On the night of 3–4 February, Murmansk CHP conducted emergency repair work at the Southern Boiler House. To fix the malfunction, part of the equipment was shut down, leaving 365 buildings in the Pervomaisky District (Murmansk) temporarily without heating. The defect could not be eliminated then, and from 4–5 February there were further shutdowns.

The CHP also explained why the Southern Boiler House chimney produced black smoke.
