Power supply has been restored to all boiler houses, and heat will gradually start returning to northerners« homes in the near future. This was reported on social media by Andrey Chibis, governor of Murmansk Oblast.

Authorities are working to restore power and heat to affected buildings in the city.

— According to just-received information from Rosseti, the inspection recorded the collapse of five pylons. Delivery of new pylons from Leningrad Oblast and Karelia has been organized. Connection of water supply and healthcare facilities has been ensured, — the head of the region said.

Work to restore power supply is continuing.

As reported by Murmansk Mayor Ivan Lebedev, water is being drained from the heating systems of 29 two-story apartment buildings in Rost, since smaller-area houses lose heat faster than others.

— This is a forced measure to avoid damaging the heating systems. After restarting, the systems will be fine-tuned by management organizations, but this will take more time. We plan to organize the adjustment in the shortest possible timeframe, — he explained.

Recall that a state of heightened readiness was introduced in Murmansk Oblast due to the power outage. This decision was made at a meeting of the operational headquarters. Street lighting in Murmansk was temporarily turned off.

The press service of Rosseti Severo-Zapad reported that the cause of the outage was a technological failure on an overhead power line. The prosecutor«s office of Murmansk Oblast has already launched an investigation due to mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated.
