Mouthguards and Vinyl Among Items Forgotten on Trains
In 2025, over 8,200 lost items were returned to passengers. On average, about 23 valuable items are left on trains daily.

On January 28, the Telegram channel of Russian Railways (RZD) reported that the Northwestern branch of Federal Passenger Company returned over 8,200 items left on trains to their owners in 2025.
On average, this corresponds to more than 23 valuable items that passengers forget in carriages every day.
Among the returned finds over the year, unusual items stand out:
- vinyl records
- a Soviet-era camera
- an orthopedic brace
- mouthguards
To recover a lost item, one must submit an electronic application in the «Services and Services» section on the Russian Railways (RZD) website or on the specialized portal lost.fpc.ru.
