Minimum Food Basket Cost Increases in Arkhangelsk Region

The minimum set of food products in Arkhangelsk Oblast has increased in price by 443 rubles (about $5 at current rates) over the past year. Updated data was published by Arkhangelskstat. Below, we explain how the cost of the conditional food basket has changed and what it includes.

Here is how much the conditional set of products cost as of December in different years:

2025 — 8,774.4 rubles (about $97);

2024 — 8,331.3 rubles (about $93);

2023 — 7,275 rubles (about $81);

2022 — 6,774.7 rubles (about $75);

2021 — 6,340.1 rubles (about $70);

2020 — 5,336.6 rubles (about $59).

According to the website of Rosstat (the Russian Federal State Statistics Service), the conditional set of products includes 33 items, divided into the following groups:

bread products, cereals, pasta, legumes;

potatoes;

vegetables (cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, and others) and melons;

fresh fruits;

sugar and confectionery (candy, cookies);

meat products;

fish products;

milk and dairy products (cheese, cottage cheese, butter, sour cream, kefir);

eggs;

vegetable oil, margarine, and other fats;

other products (salt, tea, spices).
