Million per carriage: Volgograd decides on museum for train at patriotic club

On the day of the Soviet victory at Stalingrad, the aviation and sports club «Young Hawk» published and then closed a procurement from a single supplier for services and work to develop the scenography concept and project documentation for a permanent museum exhibition in the space of 10 electric train carriages. The contract price is 9,950,900 rubles (approximately $99,500).
Recall that the ED9M electric train, which was owned by the Volgograd region, was transferred to the «Young Hawk» aviation and sports club in 2025. Its transportation from the motorcar depot first to the Volzhsky station and then to the «Young Hawk» club cost three million rubles (about $30,000). The club stated that the carriages were planned to be used as a training aid for military-patriotic education of youth. Later, unloading of the carriages was noticed near the Zaplavnoye station, mistaken for restoration work on the tracks.
According to the contract terms, the concept must be ready by December 31, 2026. It is not specified what kind of museum is planned, but the sole participant and winner of the auction is the museum scenography bureau «Metaforma». The company developed the concept for the art museum in Stary Oskol, the historical exhibition of the Polytechnic Museum, the local history museum in Alexeyevka, Belgorod region, and the concept for the Kursk Regional Museum. V1.RU sent a request to «Metaforma» to clarify what kind of museum is planned and what exhibits will be displayed.
According to the counterparty verification system «Kontur.Focus», the auction winner is registered in St. Petersburg. The general director of LLC «Bureau of Museum Scenography »Metaforma«» is Alexander Tkachenko, who owns 22% of the authorized capital. He is also the head and participant of LLC «Metaforma», which is engaged in the trade of office furniture.
At the end of 2024, LLC «Bureau of Museum Scenography »Metaforma«» reported revenue of 196.3 million rubles (approximately $1.96 million) and net profit of 39.1 million rubles (approximately $391,000).
