MAX Security Center Announces January Results with 22 Million Rubles Saved
The MAX national messenger's security center, in collaboration with Russian police, prevented crimes and saved over 22 million rubles (about $220,000 at current rates) in January, after recently enhancing protection with VKey biometric technology.

The national messenger MAX published the results of its security center«s work for January 2026. Specialists, in collaboration with the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, uncovered three crimes and detained four fraudsters who had been stealing citizens» money through messengers for a long time.
They also managed to extract 17 people from the influence of criminals before financial damage was inflicted. In total, over 22 million rubles (about $220,000 at current rates) of citizens« money was saved.
«In January, the transfer of over 25,000 malicious APK files, which criminals have been actively using in messengers recently, was prevented. The security center blocked over 230,000 suspicious accounts and deleted over 2.2 million malicious files,» added the press service of the national messenger.
Earlier, MAX enhanced the messenger«s infrastructure protection with VKey technology. The solution provides secure access via biometrics within MAX only to authorized developers from verified devices. VKey eliminates the possibility of remote interception or access theft.
