Investigators from the Terbunsky Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Lipetsk Oblast (SU SK Rossii po Lipetskoy oblasti) have completed the investigation into a criminal case. The defendant is a local resident accused of murder under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

According to the investigation, on the night of April 21 to 22, 2026, the accused, while intoxicated, was drinking alcoholic beverages in his apartment in the village of Malye Borki, Terbunsky District, Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. A conflict broke out between him and his acquaintance. During the quarrel, the man inflicted multiple stab wounds to the victim«s neck, chest, and abdomen, and also beat him. The victim died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
During the preliminary investigation, the court, at the request of the investigator, placed the accused in custody.
A complex of necessary investigative and procedural actions was carried out during the investigation. The defendant«s guilt is confirmed by a body of evidence, including the results of forensic examinations, witness testimony, and other case materials.
The criminal case, with the indictment approved by the prosecutor, has been sent to court for consideration on the merits. Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for a penalty of up to 15 years of imprisonment.
