Land near Krasnoyarsk allocated for new cemetery

Another cemetery has been planned near Krasnoyarsk. A document on the reallocation of land has appeared on the portal of the regional government.

The plot in question is behind the aluminum plant on the border of the Sovetsky District — between Pogranichnikov and Krazovskaya streets and the Yenisei Highway. The exact cadastral number is 24:11:0290202:524. The land belongs to the Yemelyanovsky District and previously had agricultural status.

That the territory is being prepared for a cemetery in spring 2025 was said by ex-mayor Vladislav Loginov. According to him, a total area of over 152 hectares in this area could be allocated for burials, and the lands were in reserve.

The area being allocated for the cemetery now is 39.9 hectares.

Meanwhile, burial plots at the New Shinnoe Cemetery were already running out as of 2025. Nearby, in the Berezovsky District, a territory of 37.6 hectares was planned for burials.
