At a staff meeting of the Kuzbass government, the main directions for the region«s development in 2026 were named. Despite the difficult financial situation, the authorities will continue to pursue investment and social policies, the administration»s press service reported on Saturday, January 24.

According to the release text, the main focus will still be on supporting participants of the special military operation and their families. In the near future, the administration plans to continue providing assistance to veterans, including rehabilitation, education, and job search.

In the industrial sector, according to the governor, at Azot, they will complete the construction of a production facility for granular ammonium sulfate with an output of 250,000 tons per year and the creation of 70 jobs. 1.26 billion rubles (approximately $14 million at current rates) were invested in the enterprise.

New production facilities are planned to be launched at JSC NeftKhimServis, LLC Siberia-Energo, and LLC TRANSMASH. Also, seven enterprises of the industrial cluster (LLC Perspektivnye Tekhnologii, LLC Kiberkod, LLC KPS-Tekhnologii, LLC ZEM, LLC ZIM, LLC Zavod Gornogo Krepleniya, and LLC TMS) will receive federal support for the production of import-substituting equipment.

In agriculture, this year they plan to bring 20,000 hectares of new territories into circulation. In the Promyshlennovsky District, by August, a dairy complex for 3,350 cows should appear, and by 2030, they expect to produce 30,000 tons of milk per year and provide 250 jobs.

Regarding ecology, in Novokuznetsk, under the «Clean Air» program, they will continue to reduce harmful emissions by 50% by the end of 2026 compared to 2017, and in Kemerovo, they plan to do this by 2035.

In the transport sector, preparatory work will begin on the reconstruction of the runway at Kemerovo Airport, as well as the completion of design for an airport in Sheregesh.

In the cultural sphere, major repairs of institutions, the arrangement of new libraries, and the equipping of children«s art schools will continue; besides this, it is planned to create eight children»s cultural and educational centers.
