Kurgan residents to get heating bill recalculation after pipeline accident

Kurgan residents will have their heating costs recalculated in February due to an accident on the «Sever-2» thermal pipeline, according to Alexander Pribylev, General Director of PJSC «Kurgan Generation Company».
He reminded that on January 31, a rupture occurred in the main pipeline. To repair the damage, heating supply was stopped for several apartment buildings in Kurgan starting at 14:30. The accident was fixed. On February 1 at 12:00, the refilling of the heating system began.
Due to the interruption in heating supply exceeding the federally permitted 16 hours at once, «Kurgan Generation Company» will recalculate the heating payment amount.
According to the rules, for each hour without heat, compensation is due — 0.15% of the monthly payment. For those who pay according to the standard rate, the payment will be recalculated for 8 hours. If there is a meter in the building, the recalculation will be based on the actual time — for all the time when there was no heating. This also applies to hot water. If there are no meters in the apartment and there was no water — there will be no need to pay for those hours.
The recalculation will affect the payment for the current month — February. The revised amounts will appear in the invoices that arrive in March.
