On January 26, a street named after Buvaisar Saitiev appeared in Krasnoyarsk. The segment from Krasnodarskaya Street to the building at Molokova Street, 1d, was named after the honorary citizen of Krasnoyarsk. Buvaisar Saitiev was a winner of the Olympic Games in 1996, 2004, and 2008 in the weight category up to 74 kilograms. Saitiev won the world championship six times and the European championship six times.

He was born on March 11, 1975, in Khasavyurt, Republic of Dagestan. At age 14, Saitiev became a Master of Sport, and at 15, he moved to Novokuznetsk, where he continued wrestling at a specialized boarding school. On his brother«s advice, Buvaisar Saitiev moved to Krasnoyarsk, where the best wrestling school in the country was, and began training under Dmitry Mindiashvili.

After his last Olympics in 2008, the athlete left Krasnoyarsk and returned to his native Khasavyurt. In 2010, Saitiev was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Krasnoyarsk. Since 2016, he has been a deputy of the State Duma and an advisor to the heads of Chechnya and Dagestan.
