Krasnoyarsk Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin today, January 22, commented on numerous complaints from citizens about heating problems in apartments.

According to him, he received more than 200 appeals, with 120 requests to service 005. As the city head assures, «for each case, a thermal inspection should work consisting of the management company, specialists from the district administration, and the resource supply organization,» and all problematic cases are under control.

Separately, he commented on the heating situation in the building at Svobodny 29a, which is powered by the boiler house of the Electric Car Repair Plant (EVRZ).

Recall that for more than a week — during the peak of the frost — residents had only 11 degrees Celsius (52°F) in their apartments. Ice formed on the floor and windowsills. People did not know where to turn — they received no help from either the management company or the district administration.

«The issue in the Railway District is due to one of the boilers at the Electric Car Repair Plant (EVRZ), a private enterprise, breaking down. As soon as we saw the residents» appeal, I immediately instructed relevant administration employees together with specialists from the Siberian Generating Company to go to the site. We figured out the situation, helped start the boiler, worked all night today. And the coolant temperature is rising, and we will monitor until the technical parameters at the output are restored, as they should be,« stated Sergei Vereshchagin.

Earlier we reported that Krasnoyarsk residents flooded the mayor with complaints about low temperatures in their apartments. As proof, citizens sent photos of their thermometers to Vereshchagin«s Telegram channel — on average, the temperature was around +15 to +17 degrees Celsius (59-63°F).

All materials about how Krasnoyarsk is living through the severe January frosts are collected in a separate story.
