Krasnoslobodsk Goes Third Day Without Water After Pipe Burst

Dozens of homes in Krasnoslobodsk were left without water due to a water main break.
Residents of Krasnoslobodsk, located across from Volgograd, have been partially without water for three days. The accident occurred on Sunday due to a pipe burst.
The outage has affected the private sector in the area from Timiryazevsky Street to Lenin Street. Workers started repairs on Monday, but after a temporary fix, the damage reappeared.
Local residents reported:
The repair crew only started work on Monday and fixed it in such a way that a few hours later there was another burst at the same spot! And we are still without water, waiting for the workers.
The water utility confirmed the accident but could not provide an exact restoration timeframe. They commented on the situation:
Yesterday they seemed to have fixed it, and then tonight it burst again. Who knows why? Maybe the frost, maybe a garbage truck or a truck ran over it… The guys are trying, of course, they are working.
The Krasnoslobodsk administration advised residents to expect the repair to be completed by the end of the current day, but for clarification of the timeframe, they recommended contacting the water utility.
Recall that earlier Krasnoslobodsk had already experienced water problems — residents complained of a strange chemical taste. Experts explained this as a temporary increase in the content of substances but assured that it was safe to drink the water.
