Kids Call AI Father Frost 500,000 Times, Wish for Various Presents

During the New Year season, children called Father Frost more than half a million times — most often they asked for toys, electronics, and pets. These results of the telephone Father Frost service were summarized by T-Bank. The technology company once again launched this interactive New Year service based on artificial intelligence technologies for all Russians.
Calls were accepted from December 18, 2025, to January 15, 2026. During this time, Father Frost received 522 thousand appeals from 184 thousand unique users. The total duration of conversations exceeded 950 thousand minutes — that«s almost two years of continuous communication. Compared to last year, the number of calls increased more than sevenfold.
The most popular gifts that children asked for were games and toys — they accounted for 31% of all requests. In second place was electronics (23%), followed by pets (10%), sports equipment (8%), and sweets (7%).
Among toys, children most often ordered cars (30%), dolls (13%), stuffed toys (11%), and construction sets (8%). In the electronics category, smartphones lead — half of all requests, and in 70% of cases, children specifically named the iPhone. Also on the wish list were tablets, computers, laptops, and game consoles.
For the second year in a row, the most desired pet remains the dog — it was requested in 66% of cases. Children also wanted to receive cats, horses, and hamsters as gifts. Among sports gifts, bicycles, skates, sleds, and scooters were most often named.
In the category of tasty gifts, sweets were the undisputed leader — 90% of requests. But there were also more unexpected and adult wishes: children asked for a new car, an apartment, and money.
Among the largest requests with several zeros — 100 million rubles (approximately $1 million at current rates), 10 kilograms of gold, 10 iPhone 17 Pro Max, hundreds of kilograms of candy, tangerines, and pelmeni (dumplings).
Children cared not only for themselves but also for their parents — for mothers, the kids wanted to give iPhones, shiny handbags, tasty salads, a plot with a house, two cars, and a new kitchen, and for fathers — a big car, yachts, and new clothes.
The unique voice of Father Frost was created using VoiceKit technology; for this, T-Bank engineers analyzed thousands of speech samples of the fairy-tale wizard from films, series, and cartoons. Under the hood of the telephone Grandfather is the large language model T-Pro and a new-generation v2v engine, thanks to which the service better processes sound and responds faster to the interlocutor«s answers. Thanks to AI technologies, Father Frost maintains a dialogue like a real interlocutor: he clarifies New Year»s wishes, asks about hobbies, interests, favorite films, and family New Year traditions, and praises for poems and songs learned for the holiday.
