Police are looking into a possible connection between the kidnapping of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie and a recent trespassing incident in her neighborhood. According to media reports, in early January an elderly neighbor noticed a stranger in his yard in Tucson, just 10 minutes from Guthrie«s home.

The neighbor told the media he spotted the intruder when a motion sensor triggered a floodlight. The light apparently scared the uninvited visitor away, who fled on foot before anyone could get a good look at him. There was no attempt to break into the home or steal from the yard.
