The cyclone that previously covered Moscow will reach Kazan as well. This was reported by climatologist professor Yury Perevedentsev.

«Snowfall is expected in the near future. Tomorrow — the day after. The cyclone coming from the North Atlantic will reach us. This will be especially noticeable on Thursday and Friday,» he said.

The expert noted that the cyclone will not last long and by the end of the week, an anticyclone from Scandinavia will replace it. Temperatures will drop again, and precipitation will cease. However, the severe frosts observed in Tatarstan last week will not return.

«The temperature drop will not be strong. And by Saturday and Sunday, dry and sunny weather will set in. The snow cover depth will increase. This year we have enough snow compared to the previous one,» emphasized Perevedentsev.

According to the Tatarstan Hydrometeorological Center, on the night of January 28, the republic will be covered by a blizzard. Night temperatures will be -11 to -13°C (12 to 9°F). Icy roads are possible. During the day, it will warm up to -9°C (16°F).

The maximum air temperature on January 29 during the day will be -3 to -8°C (27 to 18°F). Snow drifts are possible on roads. By Friday, January 30, warming to -2°C (28°F) is forecast during daytime hours, along with heavy snow.

Earlier, due to the cyclone that covered Moscow, some flights from the Russian capital to Kazan airport were delayed. The Kazan city hall warned residents about the approaching bad weather and said that snow removal might take more time.

Currently, bad weather is raging in Moscow and the Moscow region. Passengers literally stormed approaching public transport. In the capital, 9-point traffic jams persisted for several hours.
