Kate and William Change Approach to Children's Education

Princess Kate and Prince William are ready to overturn centuries of royal traditions by choosing a modern approach to their children«s education. As reported by the media, the couple intends to focus more on normal life than on hierarchy.

Prince William and Kate are raising three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – aiming to minimize the isolation that royal life can bring. All three are currently studying at Lambrook School in Berkshire, where they will return in the new academic year.

Insiders claim that the Waleses want George, the future king, to study together with his younger brother and sister at a co-educational school. In royal circles, this is seen as a practical and symbolic step, reflecting William«s desire to raise children differently than previous generations.

As stated by one royal family expert, this decision fully aligns with William«s aim to modernize not only the monarchy but also the approach to child-rearing within it. The choice to educate George together with Charlotte and Louis represents a clear break from the old model, where heirs were singled out and separated from an early age.

The expert added that for generations, future monarchs were practically assigned a separate path from birth, including education at single-sex schools. This decision marks a conscious departure from such thinking, showing that William and Kate want to delay the moment when George is defined solely by his role.
According to sources, this step is part of a broader strategy to give George as much freedom as possible before the pressure of destiny fully catches up with him. One insider noted that William and Kate are well aware that George«s future was predetermined long before he can decide anything himself.
This year, George will complete his studies at Lambrook. He is expected to transfer either to Eton College, where William studied, or to Marlborough College, which Kate attended. Insiders emphasize that the final decision has not yet been made, and the couple is weighing which environment will better suit George emotionally and academically.
A source reported that they fully understand what Eton symbolizes in royal history and know how significant this choice will be from their side. At the same time, they are consciously keeping options open. Their priority is not symbolism or expectations, but ensuring that George is in an environment where he feels protected and encouraged.
Plans to maintain stability, it is said, go beyond school education. William and Kate intend to remain in their home in the Windsor area even after William becomes king, if that happens sooner than expected.
According to a source in royal circles, the question of delaying the formal bestowal of the title Prince of Wales to George is also being discussed, if at that time he is still in school. As the insider explained, from their perspective, there is no urgency in assigning formal titles to George while he is growing up.
