Kalininsky District Tops Rat and Trash Complaints in Novosibirsk

Last year, residents of the Kalininsky District filed more complaints to the city administration about rats and uncollected trash than residents of any other district. NGS was told this by the mayor«s press center. Let»s look at which other districts made the top of the list.

In total, city residents sent 81 complaints about rats. The largest number came from Kalininsky District — 25, followed by Zaeltsovsky District — 18, and Zheleznodorozhny District — 10.

In January of this year, seven written complaints were received: Oktyabrsky District — three, Zaeltsovsky District — two, and one each from Zheleznodorozhny and Leninsky Districts.
The mayor«s office also reported the number of complaints about trash on city streets. A total of 157 complaints were received last year. Residents reported violations of the garbage collection schedule, the emergence of illegal dumps, and, as a result, rodents, insects, and unpleasant odors.
In January of this year, 12 written complaints were received: three from Leninsky District, two each from Zheleznodorozhny, Oktyabrsky, and Kalininsky Districts, and one each from Zaeltsovsky, Tsentralny, and Sovetsky Districts.
It is clarified that responsible persons must monitor the condition of container sites for solid municipal waste, special areas for bulky waste, and the surrounding territories. It is also important to ensure free access for garbage trucks to the containers. Moreover, it is necessary to prevent waste storage outside specially designated areas.
