The podcaster noted that one of the «most high-profile defendants in history» was not secured at the New York Correctional Facility. Rogan pointed out that Epstein claimed at least one person had tried to kill him before he was found dead under circumstances authorities ruled a suicide.
Rogan also pointed out «missing» time in surveillance footage from Epstein«s prison.

Rogan found it strange that Epstein was placed in a cell with Nicholas Tartaglione, a former police officer accused of mass murder. Tartaglione was at the time awaiting trial for the kidnappings and murders of four men in 2016 and was later convicted.
Eighteen days before his death, Epstein complained that Tartaglione had tried to kill him. According to media reports, Epstein told prison guards about the attack after he was found unconscious in his cell, with Tartaglione shouting that he had done nothing.

Tartaglione claimed he was only trying to revive Epstein. Later, Epstein dropped the assault allegations, saying he could not remember exactly what happened to him.
As with Epstein«s death, there is no video footage of this incident — surveillance cameras either recorded nothing or the recordings were lost due to system malfunctions. Rogan called it insane that there was no protective custody, camera malfunctions, and time gaps in published materials.
Epstein«s death was officially ruled a suicide by hanging, but that ruling remains controversial. He was alone in his cell at the time of death, although some reports say he should have been under observation due to suicide risk. The assigned guards did not perform mandatory cell checks that day, and no clear surveillance footage exists showing what happened.
Even Epstein«s former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell expressed doubts about the suicide theory in an interview in August 2025. »I don«t believe he killed himself, no,» she said, but could not speculate on who might have killed him.
