The U.S. Department of Justice has released a series of photographs as part of another document release in the Epstein case. The images show the convicted pedophile after his death at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan on August 10, 2019.

One photograph shows Epstein lying on a stretcher without a shirt, with paramedics attempting to resuscitate him, unsuccessfully.
Other images show his cell in complete disarray: bedding and clothing strewn about. Also visible is a piece of fabric he used to hang himself, dangling from the bed frame.
The released photos also show the outside of the cell, its door covered with investigative tape. Additionally, the materials include images confirming that Epstein«s hyoid bone was broken after hanging.
Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges of sex trafficking. Conspiracy theorists have for years claimed he was murdered to cover up crimes by his wealthy and influential associates, but officials categorically deny these rumors.
