Samara has summed up the results of the 12th «Sokolye Gory» ski festival. This year, at the ski complex of the «Chaika» sports school, it brought together more than 1,200 participants — residents and guests of Samara, as well as participants from other regions and countries.

— Skiing has always united people of different ages, and the «Sokolye Gory» festival in Samara has been preserving its best traditions for 12 years now. Here, not only speed and technique are valued, but also the atmosphere of friendship and the joy of meeting like-minded people. I sincerely congratulate the winners, prize-winners, and all athletes. I invite everyone to take part in the «Russian Ski Track» event, which will also be held at the «Chaika» ski base, — said Samara Mayor Ivan Noskov.

On January 31, athletes competed in the freestyle. They ran distances of different lengths: 2.5 km, 10 km, 30 km, and 50 km.

Among the women who ran the longest distance — 50 km, the top six athletes were:

Veronika Lopatina from Perm;

  • Anastasia Dobdina from Saratov;

  • Ekaterina Stepanova from Samara;

  • Tatyana Sokolova from Balakovo;

  • Maria Malchikova from Samara;

  • Irina Veselova from Severodvinsk.

    Among the men who also overcame the maximum distance, the following distinguished themselves:

    The next day, on Sunday, competitions were held at the same distances — 2.5 km, 10 km, and 30 km, but this time in the classic style.

    The «Sokolye Gory» festival has strengthened Samara«s status as a hospitable sports center. The three-day festival offered participants a variety of routes — from a short family walk of 2.5 km to a serious marathon of 50 km. City Council Chairman Sergei Ryazanov emphasized: »We are happy to host such bright sporting events.«

    All participants of the «Sokolye Gory» ski festival in Samara who ran the 10, 30, and 50 km distances, as well as the night race of 6 and 12 km, received commemorative medals. The winners and prize-winners of the competitions were additionally awarded with medals, diplomas, and gifts from sponsors.

    Registration continues for the All-Russian mass ski race «Russian Ski Track», which will take place on February 14 at the ski base of the «Chaika» sports school. In 2026, applications can be submitted on the «Gosuslugi» portal.
