Is Ufa Better Than Yekaterinburg? Residents Weigh In
Readers of our colleagues from the portal E1.RU compared their city with Ufa. Earlier, our correspondent visited Yekaterinburg and noted that since 2014, the capital of the Urals has significantly improved. However, not all local residents agree with him.
«A complete backwater,» commented on the report by a UFA1.RU journalist one of the visitors to E1.RU.
«A dirty, gray, faceless city. The capital of the Urals without mountains,» noted another.
«No aesthetics: they»ve stuffed in rectangular coffin-like high-rises of different shapes and colors, and it«s like that all over the city,» complained another.
«The sidewalk on 8 Marta Street opposite the circus is the embodiment of the whole city: cramped, inconvenient, and dirty,» wrote a resident of Sverdlovsk Oblast.
However, many residents still value Yekaterinburg. Some — so much so that Ufa, in their opinion, doesn«t hold up to any comparison.
«Yekaterinburg is a city of contrasts, while in Ufa everything is monotonous and wretched,» stated a reader of E1.RU.
«Ufa is a hole, the trams there are complete junk,» supported another.
Fortunately, among the visitors of the Sverdlovsk portal, there were those who liked the capital of Bashkortostan.
«There»s no feeling of crowding. And «Art-Kvadrat» in the city center — Yekaterinburg can only dream of such a thing,« noted a resident of the Ural capital.
«»Art-Kvadrat« is the real deal, I confirm,» agreed another.
