Honored Doctor Tamara Petrova Passes Away at 86

Tamara Petrova, a highest-category phthisiatrician and honored healthcare worker, died in Tyumen on January 28 at the age of 86 after 65 years in medicine.

Tamara Petrova, an honored healthcare worker and labor veteran, passed away on January 28 in Tyumen. She was a highest-category phthisiatrician.

Colleagues and patients remembered Petrova for her professionalism and dedication to patient care throughout her career.

‘Tamara Petrovna worked at Regional Hospital No. 12 since 1970 — a total of 65 years, 55 of which as a phthisiatrician. She was distinguished by her professionalism, dedication to her work, and sensitive attitude towards patients,’ according to the statement.

For her many years of service, she received a number of awards from the Ministry of Health and the government of Tyumen Oblast. After retiring, Petrova continued to work, and colleagues and patients noted her attentiveness and willingness to help.

The farewell ceremony will be held on January 30 from 12:00 to 13:00 at the ritual hall in Zavodoukovsk at 19 Khakhina Street.

Earlier in January, another Tyumen doctor, Elena Kuzmina, passed away. She was a Candidate of Medical Sciences, an assistant at the department of therapy of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Professional Retraining of Specialists, the chief freelance specialist of the regional healthcare department, and worked at Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1.
