Homes in the village of Darasun in the Karymsky District of Zabaykalsky Krai that were without heat have been connected to a backup system. This was reported to Chita.Ru correspondent on January 22 by district head Oleg Pavlov.

Residents of the village complained to Chita.Ru about cooling radiators in apartments due to issues at the boiler house on January 21. Later, it became known that a burst occurred on the main heating pipeline in the village. Seventeen apartment buildings (2,250 people) and a secondary school were left without heat. The burst is being repaired with clamps.

‘Since night, we have been restoring heating parameters to all homes. The burst on the main heating pipeline will be fixed today, while it is being excavated,’ Pavlov said.

Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of Zabaykalsky Krai Alexei Goncharov, overseeing the housing and utilities sector, wrote in his Telegram channel on the night of January 22 that the situation in Darasun is under control, heating has been connected via a backup line, and the coolant parameters are being restored.

‘Deputy Minister of Housing and Utilities Ivan Larionov and the head of the subordinate organization are on site. They are reporting on the situation regarding the repair of the main heating pipeline as well as temperature parameters in homes. The work of utility companies is also under control. They are working house to house. There are no damages to heating devices in stairwells or apartments. There were reports of leaks from under nuts in towel warmers—all have been fixed,’ Goncharov wrote.

In the Telegram chat ‘Life of Darasun,’ local residents note that employees of management companies are indeed going around homes to control the bleeding of air from risers, especially on fifth floors. And Darasun residents themselves woke up neighbors to have them bleed air from radiators.

In the comments under a post on the Telegram channel ‘Chita.Ru,’ some Darasun residents indeed write that radiators have become hot. While others report that there is still no heating.
