Heat guns warm dormitory after Zabaykalsky heating accident

In Darasun village, Karymsky District, heat is being supplied via a backup scheme as emergency work continues on the heating main. Meanwhile, on January 22, the dormitory building is being warmed with heat guns, wrote Housing and Utilities Minister Alexei Yusupov on his Telegram channel.
On January 21, a rupture occurred on the main heating pipeline in the village. Seventeen apartment buildings and a secondary school were left without heat. The rupture was patched with clamps, and the houses overnight were connected to the backup scheme. Now, they are awaiting volunteers who will help go around apartments to bleed air from radiators. EMERCOM employees brought heat guns to the village to maintain temperature in stairwells.
«The boiler house is operating in normal mode, with supply temperature at 95 degrees Celsius (203°F), and return temperature at 75 degrees Celsius (167°F). All consumers are connected to the heat supply system via the backup scheme. In the dormitory at 2 Pochtovaya Street, work is underway to heat half of the building with heat guns,» wrote the minister.
Five teams of welders from the company JSC Energiya went to the site to fix the accident. Currently, employees of the companies DZGO and Kvarts are handling the repairs.
The accident occurred on a pipeline located on the territory of the Darasun Mining Equipment Plant. Since applying a clamp did not help, a new section of pipeline will be laid on top.
The Russian EMERCOM Directorate for the region reported that a state of emergency has been introduced in the village. Ten people and one piece of equipment also arrived at the site. A temporary accommodation point in Karymskoye village with a capacity of 120 people has been prepared.
