Earlier, five teams of welders from the company JSC Energia (AO Energia) were dispatched to fix the accident, and a state of emergency was declared in the village.

‘Five teams of welders have started work. The most at-risk facilities have been identified, where the pressure of the heat carrier supplied via the backup scheme is insufficient. Heat guns are being deployed at these locations together with representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) to prevent freezing risks. In the dormitory at 2 Pochtovaya Street, one riser remains to be thawed, work is ongoing,’ the message says.

Meanwhile, Darasun residents write in chats that the temperature in their apartments is currently from 6 to 10 degrees Celsius (43-50°F).

Residents complained about cooling radiators on January 21 after a rupture occurred on the main heating pipeline. Seventeen apartment buildings and a secondary school were left without heat. Initially, the rupture was patched with clamps, and the houses were connected to a backup supply scheme overnight. Since the clamp did not help, it was decided to lay a new section of pipeline above the existing one.
