Governor Kozhemyako blames Delta company for Partizansk water outage

The shocking news that several thousand residents of Partizansk have been living without a cold water supply for almost a week outraged residents of Primorye. Pensioners and families with children were thrown back into the Stone Age and were forced to melt snow or buy water from stores, as deliveries were not even organized for them.
The news appeared on social media and in the press, including our outlet, and the people left without water managed to get through to the governor of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako — their complaints were voiced during the «Direct Talk» program (6+).
Kozhemyako said he was aware of the situation and that the responsibility for the cutoff lies with the management company «Delta.» According to him, the company was in charge of these houses back in 2007, but was later sold and was effectively managed from Moscow.
«It turned out to be a systemic issue. Neither cleaning the collectors, nor checking for silt complications, nor replacing the pumps — nothing was done. This led to such losses. The same company was responsible for houses in Dalnerechensk, and people suffered for many years. Last year we took over the houses there,» the governor emphasized.
He clarified that he had instructed the supervisory authorities to file appropriate lawsuits against «Delta» and to take the houses under its control into regional or municipal ownership so that the authorities could fix all the problems themselves.
«Some order has already been restored there, the collectors have been cleaned, and water supply has been restored. I was informed that the situation there has been fixed. The transfer will take several months,» the governor specified.
This was confirmed by the head of Partizansk, Oleg Bondarev, who said that all emergency restoration work had been completed under the mayor«s supervision.
«You correctly said that the enterprise is in an extremely neglected state, but I can say that all houses are connected. The owner today expressed readiness to start negotiations, and at the first stage, with his consent, we are beginning work on an audit and inventory,» Bondarev specified.
