In Troitsk, Chelyabinsk Region, bailiffs returned to the car owner the money spent on repairs at the auto shop. After the botched repair, the vehicle nearly caught fire, prompting the customer to take the matter to court.

The plaintiff filed three lawsuits: first demanding the return of funds paid for the repair, then seeking indexation of the amount due to the defendant«s failure to meet obligations, and finally requesting reimbursement for legal fees and expert examinations. In total, the recovered amount reached 828,000 rubles (approximately $8,300), plus an enforcement fee of 96,000 rubles ($960).

Based on the writs of execution, bailiffs initiated three proceedings. About 70,000 rubles ($700) were collected from the debtor«s accounts, and restrictions were placed on his property: two vehicles — a Chevrolet Aveo and a pledged BMW X5 — were banned from registration actions, and the shop owner himself was prohibited from leaving Russia. Since the debt remained unpaid, bailiffs seized the vehicles. The Chevrolet Aveo was valued at 156,000 rubles ($1,600) — insufficient to cover the debt, so the BMW X5 came under threat of sale. The debtor had hoped the pledged car would not be auctioned, but bailiffs explained the legality of such measures. To save the BMW, the debtor paid off the entire debt. To do this, a relative took out a loan, as the shop owner himself could not obtain credit due to the information in the Database of Enforcement Proceedings of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP). A lump sum of 850,000 rubles ($8,500) was deposited into the bailiff»s account, of which 96,000 rubles ($960) constituted the enforcement fee. After the funds were distributed, the enforcement proceedings were closed and all enforcement measures were lifted.
