The fundraising for the treatment of 10-year-old Yaroslavl resident Seryozha Levchenko has been closed. This was reported by the boy«s mother. The same information has been published on the website of Rusfond, which served as the platform for raising the necessary amount.

Seryozha has a malignant brain tumor — a germinoma. The money was being raised for proton therapy — a treatment method that, according to doctors, is most suitable for the child. A little over 4 million rubles (approximately $44,400 at current rates) was required.

«Yesterday the fundraising was closed. Currently, Seryozha»s health condition does not allow him to undergo proton beam therapy. The first block of chemotherapy has been prescribed to stabilize his condition and reduce the tumor. The money raised by the fund remains allocated for Seryozha, and as soon as he is able to undergo proton therapy, it will be immediately directed towards these purposes,« explained the boy»s mother, Tatyana.

The woman expressed gratitude to all who helped.

«A huge thank you and a deep bow to all the people who responded so quickly and came to help,» said Tatyana.

We published Seryozha«s story. The first symptoms of the illness appeared in October 2025. The boy suddenly started vomiting and lost his strength. Initially, an intestinal infection was suspected, but examinations revealed that the child has a tumor.
