Frosts to minus 25 and icy roads expected in Leningrad region on 26 January

On Friday, 26 January, frosty weather with icy conditions and occasional light snow will set in across the region.

Nighttime temperatures in some areas may drop to minus 25 degrees Celsius (-13°F). Localized light snowfall is likely.

Daytime air temperatures will range from minus 9 to minus 14 degrees Celsius (16 to 7°F). The weather will be changeable, with possible brief clearings and light snow. The wind will be southerly, with speeds not exceeding 7 meters per second.

Icy conditions are expected on roads, requiring drivers to exercise increased attention and caution.

The cold spell in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region is forecast to persist until the beginning of February.
