According to the Upper Volga Department for Hydrometeorology, frosty weather is expected in Nizhny Novgorod from January 26 to 30. A brief warming is anticipated in the middle of the week, after which the cold will return.
- January 26, Monday: at night -24°C (-11°F), during the day -16°C (3°F). Partly cloudy, no precipitation.
- January 27, Tuesday: at night -16°C (3°F), during the day -10°C (14°F). Partly cloudy, occasional light snow.
- January 28, Wednesday: at night -10°C (14°F), during the day -7°C (19°F). Cloudy, snow.
- January 29, Thursday: at night -10°C (14°F), during the day -3°C (27°F). Cloudy, light snow.
- January 30, Friday: at night -18°C (0°F), during the day -12°C (10°F). Partly cloudy, light snow.
Over the upcoming weekend, temperatures will drop again. For example, on Saturday night, thermometers may fall to -23°C (-9°F).
