Free green transport for Irkutsk students January 25

Public transport in Irkutsk will be free on January 25. This was announced by the city hall«s press service.

This is related to the celebration of Russian Student Day.

«Free travel will be available on municipal public transport for students of higher and secondary vocational education institutions,» according to the city hall«s statement.

💬 Students can use this right on trolleybuses, buses, and trams operated by the municipal enterprises «Irkutskgortrans» and «Irkutskavtotrans» throughout the day. To do so, they simply need to show their student ID to the driver or conductor.

Recall that similar promotions will be held in Angarsk and Bratsk. Moreover, in Angarsk, students will be able to ride transport for free for several days — from January 24 to 26. In Bratsk, free travel will only be on January 25 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. The benefit can be used on some buses and all trolleybuses.
