According to her data, the night into Monday will be frosty: around -20…-22 degrees Celsius (-4…-8°F).

“On Monday, atmospheric pressure will slightly decrease, with light snow in places: daytime temperature — minus 10-12 degrees Celsius (14…10°F). The wind will be dense, southeasterly. In the following days, atmospheric pressure will drop sharply. Already on the 27th, Tuesday, the weather will be determined by the atmospheric fronts of an Atlantic cyclone, although the cyclone itself will be far away,” explains Tatiana Pozdnyakova to MSK1.RU readers.

Nevertheless, the cyclone’s fronts will reach Moscow and bring snow, heavy in places, the specialist reminds.

“During the day, a blizzard will rise, and the temperature will increase. Already by January 28, after this bad weather, snowpack will form on the roads, snowdrifts — a whole complex of adverse phenomena. In the middle of the week, we will be in the warm sector of this cyclone, so the air temperature during the daytime on Wednesday will be -2…-7°C (28…19°F), on Thursday — from 0 to -5°C (32…23°F),” says Tatiana Pozdnyakova to MSK1.RU.

However, then the capital region will be under the influence of a cold atmospheric front.

“It will be marked by light snow, but a temperature drop will follow. Already on Friday, the temperature will drop during the night — -10…-15°C (14…5°F) and daytime temperature — within -3…-8°C (27…18°F).

According to the resource “Weather MSK1.RU”, the capital is indeed in for a frosty night on Monday, then snowfalls and a rise in air temperature in the middle of the week, after which, on Friday and the weekend, frosts will return to Moscow.

Closer to the end of the New Year holidays, Moscow was hit by cyclone “Francis”: MSK1.RU showed how the capital endured historical snowfalls. In mid-January, in some Moscow region cities, heating went out amid the frosts.
