In Murmansk on 28 January, at 26 Askol«dovtsev Street, Building 2, a gas collector caught fire. Information about the fire was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations at 10:10.

Due to the complexity of the situation, firefighters had to declare an increased danger level. Residents of nearby houses were temporarily evacuated and placed in a temporary accommodation center at the House of Creativity at 39 Askol«dovtsev Street. There, they were assisted and supported by psychologists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The fire was completely extinguished at 16:55. Four fire and rescue units worked on site. Specialists are now investigating the cause of the fire. People are returning to their apartments.
