Fire at Kochetovka station contained
On the night of February 4–5, firefighters contained the ignition of tank cars at Kochetovka railway station in Michurinsk. The threat of fire spread has been lifted, the situation is fully under control.

The fire that broke out on the railway tracks of Kochetovka station in Michurinsk, Tambov Region, was contained on the night of February 4–5. According to emergency services, there is no threat of further spread, and the situation is under full control. On the instructions of Tambov Region Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov, an operational headquarters has been set up in Michurinsk to deal with the aftermath of the emergency. It is headed by Deputy Governor Yevgeny Zimenko.
“The work to eliminate the consequences of the emergency continues. All emergency services are at the scene. After the fire is extinguished, the exact cause of the ignition will be determined and the damage assessed,” Pervyshov reported on social media. Units of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) for Tambov Region continue working at the scene. At the same time, Russian Railways (JSC RZD) organized the movement of freight and passenger trains bypassing Kochetovka station.
