Famous Samara Journalist Nina Alpatova Dies at 69

In Samara, a farewell will be held for the renowned journalist Nina Alpatova. Her passing was announced on Friday, January 23, by representatives of the Union of Journalists of the region.
According to them, the holder of the «Golden Pen of the Province» award passed away on Thursday, January 22, in a hospital. Nina Alpatova was 69 years old.
It is known that the journalist graduated from Leningrad University. Her work could be seen in publications such as Komsomolskaya Pravda, Arguments and Facts, the magazine Peasant Woman, and many others. For several years, Nina Alpatova was a correspondent for Volga Commune and editor of the social policy department at Samara News.
Nina Alpatova is described as a talented journalist and professional. According to colleagues, she made a significant contribution to the development of regional journalism. Her work was recognized at a high level. She was a laureate of the Union of Journalists of Russia«s »For Journalistic Mastery« award in 1998 and a laureate of the »Golden Pen of the Province« competition in 1999.

On Wednesday, January 21, it became known about the passing of another famous Samara journalist. Yulia Galochkina died after a serious illness at the age of 55.
