Family Demands Reburial of Soldier Buried by Widow

Relatives of a fallen participant of the special military operation in Ukraine from the Rudnyansky District of the Volgograd Region are demanding his reburial. According to the mother and niece of the man, his wife arranged the funeral in the workers« settlement without warning or agreement. The widow insists it was her husband»s will, which she could not disobey. The relatives, however, are sure Vasily never spoke of such a wish. The scandalous story reached the «Muzhskoe / Zhenskoe» (Men / Women) show on a federal channel.

Reminder: we reported this story last September. Relatives of Vasily, 33, who died in Ukraine, said he signed a contract without telling his family and went to the zone of the special military operation. For some time he was considered missing. Later the family was informed that Vasily had died. At that time relatives had no doubt Vasily would be buried in Volgograd, where his mother lives. However, the deceased«s wife decided otherwise.

«A few days later I was told the body had been sent to Volgograd,» Vasily«s niece told V1.RU. »I call the morgue on Zemlyachki every hour, they say no vehicle came from Rostov. Then in the evening, around midnight, his wife posts a video on TikTok showing the coffin arriving. I start calling her, but our numbers are blocked. I ask how that can be — they say she«s the wife, she has every right. But what about the parents who want to bury the body to relieve themselves of the burden? During the 11 months of searching, she posted TikToks of herself partying with men and voice messages saying she only wants money. And at the funeral she called the police — probably afraid we»d bury her right there in the cemetery somewhere.«

The family conflict was discussed on the «Muzhskoe / Zhenskoe» show recently. The widow said that her marriage to Vasily was her fifth and one of the happiest. They lived together for nine months. During that time they managed to divorce and remarry.

«After my husband»s death, his relatives suddenly turned against me. They started filing lawsuits, accusing me of being a fraud and that our marriage was fictitious.«

Vasily did not warn his wife that he was going to the zone of the special military operation. According to the widow, she does not know why he went. They had enough money, there were no family conflicts.

«Hello, baby. God, it»s all so hard. Honestly, I would just fall on this grave. I never thought I«d lose him. I hear a rustle, the gate creaks — I think maybe baby came. But no, it»s not him,« the woman says at her husband»s grave. «This is my happiest marriage of all. He loved me very much, and I loved him. Caring, handsome, young. He fixed my fence, sawed old branches. I don»t know why it all turned out this way. My poor boy.«

One of the husband«s messages to his wife: »I wanted to tell you that I miss my beloved wife very much. I«m very grateful that I have her in this life. I took her with her child. And I will love him as my own and do everything so that he loves me too. Baby, I promise I»ll come home safe and sound. Love and kisses.«

According to the widow, she fulfilled her husband«s last wish and buried him in Rudnya. The woman claims she notified Vasily»s relatives of the date and place of the funeral. However, after that she began to be harassed.

«My husband said to bury him on my land, where his wife is, where I am. I honestly fulfilled my husband»s will. If he had said to bury him in Volgograd, I would have done so,« the widow says.

However, the deceased«s niece gave a different version of events. According to her, while her uncle was considered missing, his wife was riding in cars with other men and living a dissolute lifestyle.

«We want justice. This person does not deserve the title of widow of a serviceman because she led an immoral lifestyle. I can»t accept my uncle«s choice. There was an incident where she attacked him with a knife. She came home drunk and in an unstable condition. Uncle was lying, sleeping. She stabbed him. He called an ambulance and the police himself, filed a report. When he was in the hospital, her eldest son came and said that if uncle didn»t withdraw the report, he would suffocate him with a pillow.«

«I»m not saying I«m a saint,» the widow responded.

The mother of the deceased said that when her son started living with this woman, he changed dramatically.

«She didn»t allow my son to call me. If he married, he should forget all his relatives. When he was with her, he was different. Lately his eyes were glassy. Maybe she was doing something, maybe she was drugging him. Actually I only met her at the funeral. We came to the funeral, and her mother was sitting by the coffin, said why the hell did we come here? When a representative of the administration came up to me, asked who I was. I said I«m the mother. He says: »The mother? But I was told he was an orphan. His wife said so.« She only has money on her mind.»

The relatives filed a lawsuit to achieve reburial. According to one of the show«s experts, they have a good chance.

«Let them rebury him, and they»ll leave you alone. That«s their blood,» said one of the hosts.
