Fakirs and workshops highlight Murmansk's Hello Sun festival

Murmansk is preparing for one of its warmest and most beloved holidays — «Hello, Sun!». It was first celebrated back in January 1969, and since then it has become a cherished city tradition, a symbol of the return of light after the polar night.
This year, the festival will take place on Sunday, January 25, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Central Square on Pushkinskaya Street, opposite the S.M. Kirov Palace of Culture.
Guests can expect a rich program: a concert and disco, performances by fakirs and puppeteers, creative workshops, and photo zones. In total, 8 different locations will be operating, with special emphasis on entertainment for children — the most sincere participants of the festival.
Recall that on January 11, Murmansk residents welcomed the first sun after the polar night on Solnechnaya Sopka (Sunny Hill).
