Evgeny Nimaev performs concert for Vysotsky's birthday in Chita

On February 26, a traditional concert dedicated to Vladimir Vysotsky«s birthday took place on the stage of the Transbaikal Regional Philharmonic. Over nearly 20 years, it has become not just a commemorative date, but a living dialogue between generations. The organizer and sole performer of the one-and-a-half-hour concert was once again Honored Art Worker of the Transbaikal Region — Evgeny Nimaev. For him, Vysotsky»s songs are not just a set of rhymed lines, but a way to feel and speak about what is important.

The program featured various works by Vysotsky: poems, military, humorous, sharp satirical songs, pieces about professions, sports, and human character. Guitar compositions and arrangements alternated with poems. Everything took place in the format of a one-and-a-half-hour solo concert, during which Evgeny Nimaev performed with his daughter Darina, who sang the song «Morning Gymnastics».

According to Evgeny, the one and a half hours flew by in one breath, and during the performances, there was a ringing silence.

«After each song, the hall gave a storm of applause, yet with one hand movement, it fell silent when the next composition began. The soul rejoiced from the mere feeling of unity: stage, hall, meanings, wonderful people. I still receive videos and words of heartfelt gratitude after the concert. This is very valuable,» shares Evgeny Nimaev.

At the concert, there was also the «Gurany» squad. After the performance, they organized aid for participants of the special military operation in the lobby and collected 91,000 rubles (approximately $1,000 at current rates).

«I am satisfied with the concert. Everything planned was realized. The interaction with the hall was exactly as I planned: lively, honest, and filled. After the performance, a feeling of joy and calm remained in my soul, like after well-done important work. Huge thanks to all the spectators who came. I will wait for dear Chita residents at my new concerts.»
